Details from Owner:
Was used many years ago in a Freezing Works Laundry as a small load spinner but could be used to dewater a number of products including bark, skins, sea weed, sphagnum moss etc.
The alternative name for them is a “Hydro” (extractor).
They used to be used also in the tallow industry.
It had a full overhaul some 5/6 years ago that cost about $5 to $6000 and has never been used since.
Very basic units. Always described as a 36”(inch) machine.
Needs to be firmly fastened down as spins fast (in relationship to motor revs).
Quite an old machine could be 25 years + old but they last forever particularly with the full overhaul. Originally cost around the $20,000 mark away back
